Over the course of the academic year, teachers work extremely hard in order to ensure that the next steps of every child are constantly addressed in order for the maximum amount of progress is made.
Over the past 2 or 3 years, our efforts have been proven by the rise in percentage of children working at ARE (where they need to be) each year, in each key stage.
Despite this more recent success in most key stages, we find that some children regress over the summer holiday and find the beginning of the following academic year particularly difficult.
In order to address this, Mr Halfhead met with groups of parents to encourage the use of resources at home over the summer holidays but these resources are readily available for all parents on our 'homework' section of the website. Please feel free to ask your child's teacher for additional resources.
