By the end of Year 6, children at Hateley Heath will have an understanding of the world we live in to prepare them for later life. They will explore locational and place knowledge, the human and physical features and investigate their learning through geographical skills and fieldwork. The pupils will extend their knowledge and understanding beyond the local area of Hateley Heath and the Black Country to the United Kingdom and further study on the continents of Europe, North and South America. The children will comprehend how to read and draw maps and understand how and why locations have adapted and changed due to their position in the world.
