Our MFL Vision: 

MFL teaching here at Hateley Heath provides the foundation for learning further languages at secondary school. 

Our Modern Foreign Language curriculum, delivered across Key Stage 2, provides ourchildren with the knowledge and skills to speak in French. It enables our children to express ideas and thoughts in another language, as well as respond to speakers verbally and in writing. MFL teaching also equips children to study and work in other countries for the future.

We selected French as our MFL because it builds on the prior learning of the Hateley Heath community, prepares the children for travel to our most accessible foreign country and is supported by the expertise and specialism available from the wider Manor MAT.
